This 62-year-old patient chose breast implant removal / explant surgery after living with silicone implants for several years. She previously underwent an implant exchange with 350cc implants but ultimately felt her breasts were larger than she desired and wanted to return to a smaller, more natural size. Her implants were removed under local anesthesia, allowing the breast tissue to gradually contract and settle into a more natural shape. Many patients choose explant surgery when they prefer a lighter, more natural breast appearance without implants.
