Born in Boston and raised in Tampa since the age of 10, Erica Rivera has always considered Tampa home. A 2008 graduate of Academy of the Holy Names, Erica earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Florida and her Master of Science in Nursing from South University. She has been a registered nurse since 2011 and a nurse practitioner and aesthetic injector since 2016, bringing extensive clinical experience, leadership, and a deep commitment to patient care to her role at Temmen Plastic Surgery.
Erica’s story with Dr. Traci Temmen began in 2012, when they met while working in a surgical setting. What began as a professional connection quickly grew into a friendship built on mutual respect, shared values, and a common vision for patient care. They often dreamed of one day building a practice together. One that would make a meaningful difference in the lives of their patients. Years later, in 2022, Erica helped turn that vision into reality, working alongside Dr. Temmen through the development and opening of Temmen Plastic Surgery. Today, as Director of Operations, Erica plays an integral role in guiding the practice’s daily operations, supporting its team, and upholding the standards of excellence and personalized care that define the patient experience.
Clinically, Erica is drawn to the precision, artistry, and transformative nature of surgery and aesthetic medicine. She finds the greatest fulfillment in helping patients feel more confident and comfortable in their own skin. She believes exceptional care extends beyond clinical expertise; it is built on trust, genuine connection, and an understanding of each patient’s individual goals. Her approach combines clinical knowledge with compassion, creating an environment where patients feel heard, supported, and cared for throughout their journey. Whether it is a meaningful conversation, a shared laugh, or an emotional moment, Erica believes these personal connections are just as important as the results themselves.
Outside the practice, Erica treasures time with her husband, Marcos, and their three children. She enjoys music and singing, traveling, cooking, discovering great food, and making memories with her close-knit family and friends. Above all, she values the relationships that make life meaningful. She brings this philosophy to her leadership, her clinical practice, and every patient she has the privilege of caring for.
