This 45-year-old patient previously underwent breast augmentation with lift in 2007 using 250cc silicone implants placed over the muscle. Over time, she became bothered by the appearance of aging, drooping implants and felt her breasts were larger than she desired. She was also concerned about possible capsular contracture and hoped to achieve a smaller, lifted breast shape.
Her goal was to remove the implants and create a lighter, more youthful breast contour closer to a B cup.
She underwent breast implant removal with a superior medial pedicle breast lift and wise pattern skin excision to reshape and elevate the natural breast tissue after explant. The result is a smaller, lifted breast with improved position and a natural contour.
